8/14/12 – Stand for the Silent

Bullying is a silent epidemic! According to “Make Beats, Not Beat Downs,” 1 in 7 Students in Grades K-12 is either a bully or a victim of bullying. Here at East Wake Middle we plan to attack this problem head on. On August 14, 2012, we have planned an “Anti-Bully Day” that will spotlight the effects of Bullying with all day lessons, activities, icebreakers and scenarios. We even have a guest speaker,Mr. Kirk Smalley, whose son took his life due to the torment of being bullied. Please help us, “Stand for the Silent”!
